Jeff Gannon And Why You Shouldn't Care

Just when I was trying to figure out who the hell Jeff Gannon is and why it's such a big deal, Hindrocket over at Powerline explains it.

Hmmm, let me check...yup, I still don't care. It's like throwing gravel at an elephant, these feeble liberal attempts at uncovering "scandal".

And, in the future, you seminar e-mailers need to do a better job of making your efforts seem not staged.

Troy is there a story there? If so is it posted on your site? I would be interested in the story if there is one. Is the fact that he is allegedly gay the story?

Well, from what I can find, it looks like there are a couple of odd points.

1. The "Talon News Service" was not a legitimate news service at all. He was actually working for a conservative website that recieved funding from the republican party.

2. Jeff Gannon was not his real name? If he is/was a legitimate reporter, why need a pseudonym?

3. His appearances at the White House were designed to make el Pres and the Reps look good.
But hey, who wouldn't do that?

4. The short amount of time that people actually focused on this matter was enough for him to decide to quit and get out of the spotlight altogether. Am I the only one who smells the bs?

Maybe this turns out not to be a big deal at all, but there sure seems to be something fishy here...

Actually, it will turn out to not be a big deal because it's not the first time it's happened. And considering that every other newsie in the room is there to make the Pres look bad, I don't mind a conservative being there.

And, BTW, can you give us some proof that he was being paid by the party? I have yet to see that anywhere.
