Still Crazy After All These Years

John Kerry is using a tin foil hat theory about the 2004 Presidential vote in Ohio to try and place that state's governorship in Democratic hands. Think about it: how would the Republican "machine" have stolen more than 100,000 votes? I don't think even Joe Kennedy could've pulled that off.

Once again, to you Democrats: this is your party. The Dems are so far out of touch that they can't imagine the majority of Americans NOT loving their ideas. Thus, when they lose, the assume that foul play must've been involved. Otherwise, they would have to re-examine their stance on the War on Terror, abortion, gay marriage, etc., etc. This they can not do.

It may not happen in 2008, but if the Democrats remain on course, they will eventually steal another election just like JFK did in 1960. Instead of using organized crime, the new Dems will use the liberal courts to get their way. This time, however, it could spell the beginning of the end of the United States as a democratic republic and a first-world nation. Write that down.

Matt,

While I'm not screaming about election fraud I must question you on two different issues.

You mention Democrats "stealing" an election using "liberal" courts, but if I recall this same "liberal" court gave GWB the election in 2000.

And I don't consider it tin foil hat territory to question a vastly different exit poll to the end result when the end result was created by an automoated system, which lacks a paper trail and is owned by someone who has publically stated that he is "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year."

If Walden O'Dell had made that statement in 1996 prior to the election Republicans would have been up in arms just like Democrats are today.

Please tell me you see that...

Automated, as opposed to an automatic moat :) Preview is your friend...

The 2000 Election results are very Questionable. I am not totally convinced Gore didn't take Florida. I think a Judge put a stop to the recount there before they were finished. I guess we'll never know.

I think you're a little over the top saying if a Democrat takes office we'll cease to be a Democratic Republic and a First World Nation. the way I see it we're in pretty deep sh*t right now!

David, I'm not saying that a Democrat in office will spell the end of the nation. I'm saying that a Democrat stealing an election in such a manner will doom the way we hold elections. The apathy that exists today did not exist in 1960 when Kennedy made dead people vote in Chicago; a repeat of that today would prove what so many think: that their vote doesn't count.

Kevin,I don't see that because I don't think it's true---and I use 2000 as my proof. You may not be aware of this, but Gore only won New Mexico by a handful of votes and there were local accusations of voting "irregularities". Yet, the Republicans chose not to pursue it because they were aware of the trouble it could cause. It was the Dems who wanted recount after recount after recount in Florida because they had yet to get the result they wanted. It was the liberal Florida Supreme Court that allowed this to go on infinitum and the Supreme Court that put a stop to it, which is a good thing because the Dems would still be down there counting today.

Everything is Questionable when it doesn't go your way. Or my way or his way.

"I am committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year"
When the CEO of Diebold makes such statements one has to wonder. Forget the fact that he made this statement or the fact that his machines are so easily hackable and look at the other oddities of the 2004 election in Ohio.
Exit poll data is considered to be the gold standard to determine the winner of an election outside of the actual count and has been used to audit elections in order to keep elections honest. This data was used recently in 2004 to swing the elections in the Ukraine. The media consortium had Kerry winning Ohio overwhemingly. How about the desparity of how voting machines were dispersed? Predominantly white, middle class precincts had relatively short lines and waiting time and plenty of machines while the urban, predominantly minority precincts had fewer machines and waiting lines as much as 12 hours. Or how about the 300,000 voters who were disenfranchised through caging methods or otherwise?
I'm wearing my tinfoil hat proudly. Both elections were stolen. By the way the liberal Supreme Court of the United States handed Bush his victory in 2000. The Florida Supreme Court wanted to count every vote but the Bush legal team didn't want that...So much for state rights. Election theft is wrong whether it be in 1960 or in 2000 and 2004. The theft of one doesn't justify the other. Election theft is the biggest threat to our democracy not islamo-fascism or international terrorism.

WHAT? Dave, do you just make this shit up out of whole cloth? Take a statistics course, dude, and then come back when you know something.

And, by the way, that ignorant quote at the beginning of your post is an urban legend made up for people like you.

Back to the peace pipe with you.

Oh come on Matt -- listen to yourself. If the election had gone the other way, you'd be screaming foul the loudest. But since it went your way, then everything was legit. You're still talking about an election that didn't go your way 46 years ago, but you expect Democrats not to ask any questions with an election that was that close?

And perhaps the GOP didn't pursue potential fraud in New Mexico (first I've heard of this, and I'm from NM), but that's because Florida went their way so they didn't need to. Are you really saying that if Florida had gone to the Democrats, that the GOP wouldn't have pursued NM because of "the trouble it would cause"? Give me a break. The ONLY reason they may not have bothered would be if fliping NM wouldn't make a difference.

As for damaging the nation, W is doing more damage than a democrat ever could. Dave may be smoking the peace pipe, but you must be huffing paint.

I like your podcasts, and was impressed enough to do a little research and check out your blog. It's very dissapointing to discover that you are a zealot.
