Rob And The Prez

Robert, my friend who is now a Marine serving in Iraq, was one of the men and women who had the honor of meeting President Bush today during his surprise trip to Anbar province. I may be biased, but I don't think you could ask for a finer man to represent the Marine Corps to the Comander-in-Chief. Rob will be coming home soon, and his homecoming will be sweeter than most: he has an infant son whom he has never met. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers that he may return to his family safe and sound. We're all proud of you, Marine.

I still remember the car rides to the radio station with stubbs when he was in high school and would talk about the DEP. Boy, time flies!. His passion and single minded determination to be a Marine was so impressive.

Like Matt said, we are so proud of you, Marine. And a big THANK YOU as always.

Speaking of which, our last Indy trip we passed a long US Army convoy on I70, and Kimmie made a point to wave and mouth a "Thank You" to every vehicle that we passed. I wish we could do more of that.
