I'm back from my long road trip (2,700 miles) and our internet connection is back up---life is good. As I write this, the Palin-Biden debate is in full swing. I think debates of this nature have become a joke. Take, for example, the moderator, a woman who has written a pro-Obama book due in November. Is she unbiased? Sure. Sure.
I have always been of the opinion that debates should be between two people with no moderator and should last about 60 minutes. That way, each candidate could ask questions of the other of any nature. The talking points wouldn't matter as much. Remember reading about Lincoln-Douglass? That was a real debate, not the puff pieces we see today.
